I like to take photos. I like the fine quality of pictures by using a camera, not an iPhone. At the moment, I found most of my practices are focusing on nature and humans. I think one because it is accessible to me, I took pictures most of the time on my own, and the other because I was initially inspired by my talented friend and an extraordinary artist kai @kaiphotos. I look into contemporary photography because of him, and I am moved by plainly authentic elements that fill up in our living environment. I did some photography assistant work for commercial production, and the editorial shoot too.

The book opens my mind is <Für Eine Philosophie Der Fotographie> by Vilém Flusser.

NatureRiver Lea

I lived in Seven Sister for over a year in London. River Lea is just 5 minutes walk away from my flat. The lifestyle of people is organised by living around riverside, which is very interesting and enjoyable. The ecosystem of the area is rather good too.

Flowers

Instinctively take pictures in enthusiasm. I use them to practise all the time. Flowers and plants are always good objects. I once saw a photo book that was all about flowers' images filling up every page in the London Photography Gallery. After that, I don’t feel this is silly easy practice anymore.

PeopleCanal Dream CIC Art Festivel

In June 2023, I participated in Canal Dream CIC Art Festival to help my friend who is leading a behind-the-scenes team to document the all-day event. That was a lovely experience, a bunch of Chinese students meeting each other in the boat house, launching an art activity in the most popular area, the Regent’s Canal King’s Cross in London.

CommercialAuthenticity

A great commercial shoot I worked with Mirth’s founder Venus Ashu, I am asked to be the Photography Assistant to embark on this brilliant production. As Venus said ‘The concept was about the difference between the misconceptions people have about creatives versus their actual identities.’ The process was professional, organized, and full of joyful vibe.

The production supported by brand ASOS, SHEIN, PrettyLittleThing, Sia Shiraz, Rich London. Click to link to talents’ instagram.
